Join Me For Dessert

This article starts a series where I go through the exercise of looking at the six pieces in Jane Evershed’s OccuPIE. They are:
- end all wars
- environmental responsibility
- free/real education
- health care for all
- release of free energy technologies
- an ethical economy
These are significant issues with deep problems. These are not new issues. We have debated them in our world for decades, centuries even. They remain unsolved.
With all the difficulty surrounding these issues, why do I think I can work from my ivory tower and offer solutions for them?
I don’t.
I do think that I can offer a fresh perspective along with a forum for us to think and participate in this exercise together. I believe that, out of this discussion, we can bring forth ideas that will work.
I invite you to participate constructively. In other words, don’t tell me “so and so will never go along with that idea.”
Instead, look at the idea to see if it has merit with the assumption that each person in the world will buy into it and use it to create a better world. Do this even it you think they won’t. These are times of change. Just because someone did something one way yesterday doesn’t mean they will do it the same way tomorrow.
By the way, some of the ideas will be radical. I don’t apologize for this.
Radical times call for radical measures.
I believe today’s energy offers the best environment to offer radical suggestions. There is a collective attitude for change unlike anything we have seen or experienced in the known history of humankind.
Many people, including myself, consciously feel this energy. We are connected worldwide by technology that allows us to communicate instantly. This means we can prepare for and enact change instantly too.
Those who don’t consciously feel the energy, feel it subconsciously. They are uneasy.
If you don’t believe me, listen to the conversations of those around you. They know something is going on but they don’t know what to call it. They are giving attention to this energy; growing it, changing it, and developing it.
Each person knows something must be done.
My goal with these articles is to define what that something is.
Before I go into the details, I want to define the perspective I will be using throughout this series. All of my suggestions will be built around these three premises.
- Everything is energy. Therefore, pure potential is the possibility. There are no limits.
- Everything in the universe consists of this energy. Therefore, we are all one.
- Nature is lavishly abundant. Therefore, there is enough in our world to support each person on our planet plus many more.
I don’t make these statements lightly. I genuinely believe these to be true. I believe they represent the thoughts that unite our world’s latest philosophical, spiritual, and scientific discoveries.
I challenge you to look at those three statements, read them again, and see if they resonate with your inner truth.
I believe they will.
I believe we can use them to solve the issues raised in OccuPIE.
Bring a fork and let’s dig in. I’ll start serving pie pieces Thanksgiving morning.
