I wrote yesterday that I woke up with an understanding about the mass bank resignations. Quite simply, the financial business is contracting. Therefore, leaders are leaving the industry.

I’m seeing some fascinating headlines this morning that seem to confirm this message. I need a day to process the information so I’m writing about something else today. I’m writing about the second part of yesterday morning’s message.

“Every day is momentous. Quit looking outside yourself for truth you can only find within.”

This was a gentle reminder for me to write about how to stay centered when facing great puzzles. It reminds me that inspiration from within is just as important as verification from without.

In my search for confirmation of what I think may be true, I often become frustrated because I can’t find exactly what I’m seeking. This doesn’t mean it isn’t out there. It just means I haven’t found it yet.

It may mean I’m not ready to find it yet.

I’ve discovered that I go through a series of eleven steps when attempting to solve a puzzle. Each step is just as important as the others.

1. I receive an impulse – a moment of inspiration – that points me towards a new idea.
2. I trust this. I know it is true.
3. I look for confirmation.
4. I can’t find it.
5. I write about it. I activate my subconscious. I beg spirit for insight.
6. I begin to have experiences that clarify what I think about this inspiration.
7. I doubt the new idea and the confirming experiences. I think I’m making up everything.
8. The evidence and information show up in overwhelming, miraculous ways.
9. I accept the new idea and become amazed at how I didn’t know this before because it is so obvious.
10. I realize the solved puzzle is part of a larger puzzle.
11. I work on other parts of the larger puzzle and look for the connections between what I’ve just solved and the new section.

I’m doing this as I process how our financial system works.

I’m doing this in response to last fall’s encounter with a UFO.

I’m doing this as I link the two together.

Paulo Coelho claims this following of signs is how we stay connected to our destiny. Knowingly or unknowingly, it is what each person seeks each day. Without it, a man becomes bored and unfulfilled. A woman lacks passion.

This connection to inspiration, these miraculous confirmations, and this growth in wisdom and knowledge resonate so strongly that humanity craves it at the expense of all else. It is more nourishing than food, more necessary than air, and more essential than water.

I’m reminded each day to go within in response to the tumult around me. From that perspective, the puzzles are just catalysts to help with spiritual growth. I can even choose how seriously I want to take them.

So, for today, I’ll remind myself, and those who look over my shoulder as I write, to be at peace, to love, and to be grateful.

If today’s news headlines are any indication, I’m at step 8 in my process and I will need a lot of love, peace, and gratefulness as I am overwhelmed with new information and move through this transition.

Today is a momentous day. Just as yesterday was and just as tomorrow will be.
