July 3, 2012 in United States
Last Thursday, after SCOTUS ruled on Obamacare, another drama played out in the House of Representatives as Congress voted to hold United States Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt for refusal to release documents regarding Fast and Furious, the gun walking scandal that has rocked the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives for several months.
The base story includes accusations that authorities allowed guns to be sold illegally to Mexican drug dealers. Then, those guns were used to kill Americans, including a Border Patrol Agent.
Congressional investigators want to know who knew about the operation so they have requested documents from President Obama. He has claimed executive privilege and withheld them. Therefore, Congress voted to charge Holder with contempt.
Normally, I wouldn’t bother giving an entire article to what is obviously a political football.
The topic of United States’ guns walking across the border for drug dealers is nothing new. I personally believe this is standard operating procedures for the CIA.
However, what interests me most about this story is a comment I read posted by someone calling himself an “Anonymous Patriot.”
“Holder is the firewall. None of the bankers will ever see the inside of a courthouse, while Holder is AG. He was their former lawyer. Now he is Prosecutor. He makes deals with them and lets them go. The SCOTUS ruling was important, but the Fast and Furious is more important. Have to get rid of Holder, so the bankers can be brought to justice. That is in progress.”
I had never considered this possibility, so I did a little research.
Furthermore, the Obama administration’s prosecution practices can be called into question because, “according to the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse, a data-gathering organization at Syracuse University, financial-fraud prosecutions by the Department of Justice are at 20-year lows.”
Is it possible that Holder’s influence as Attorney General is the hold up to Drake’s sources announcing the financial GREEN LIGHT?
Was the contempt vote orchestrated to begin the process of removing Holder so the GREEN LIGHT could move forward?
It is possible. There were rumors that Holder would be arrested after the vote.
However, those were quickly set aside when the Department of Justice announced they would not arrest and prosecute him.
If we follow this line of thought, it is easy to see why Drake was told the mass arrests would move forward last Wednesday.
Then, when Holder wasn’t arrested on Thursday, the plans had to be put on hold for a while.
What is the peaceful response?
I don’t believe that one person’s arrest or lack of arrest will make or break what it taking place now.
Holder is in a powerful position. However, he is only one person.
Therefore, his non-arrest can only be a minor hiccup in the GREEN LIGHT process.
Let’s continue to remain calm and centered as we observe and participate in the amazing changes taking place on our planet at this time.
